Welcome Home

A safe, supportive and empowering home
for veterans, active duty military
and their families.

We support our veterans and our military families and we advocate for their interests while providing them a safe, positive environment to meet, learn and grow. But we share our beautiful and motivating space with other partner organizations in our community, to support our neighbors, provide meeting space and resources, and help build their capacity. We welcome everyone.

Helping Veterans

Our first priority is empowering our veterans so they can enjoy the freedoms they fought for. Anything a veteran needs, we can help, from starting their own business to enrolling in VA Healthcare to finding a home to getting them a set of their medals..... and everything in between.

Windham Region Veterans Coffee House

Every Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 am

Weekly 60-75 veterans come together as friends and colleagues. They enjoy good conversation, interesting speakers, celebrations of our military branches and accomplishments, and some "better than in the service" coffee.

We take time to inform veterans of their benefits, changes in the VA and legislation that will affect their lives. We take even more time to honor the service, the sacrifice and ongoing commitment and community service of our veterans and active duty soldiers. We walk with them through their struggles, especially the affects of Agent Orange and the toxins from the burn pits. We welcome our soldiers' families. We let our veterans know, all of them, no matter when they served, that we love them and appreciate all they have done for our country.

They all signed on the dotted line, agreeing to give their life for their country, to protect us all from our enemies, so we can sleep safely at night. They made an oath that they promised to keep their entire life.

We make them a cup of hot coffee.

Veterans Coffee House of Eastern Connecticut
